Summer blue birds - Acrylic and paper on canvas, 97x195 cm, 2019

About this painting

The dimensions of this painting are those of a 120 marine format, which makes it possible to insist on the horizontal form of the composition. It is thus by playing with this constraint that I built this work, around a line of horizontal tension. Stains of red, green or different shades of blue come to draw a central horizon but that does not go to the outer edges of the canvas.

The pink-tinged color background, tinged with yellow, is marked by brushstrokes, emphasizing the vibration of the air, which is imagined to be warm despite the presence of a light wind.

From a technical point of view, this work uses the technique of absorbent paper mixed with acrylic paint. The texture is weakly marked and relatively uniform over the entire surface.
